A week-long vacation has passed and the 79th UAAP women’s volleyball tournament top seed Ateneo de Manila University made the most out of it.
Like everyone else, the Lady Eagles enjoyed their respective out of town trips with their loved ones.
Michelle Morente, Kim Gequillana, Ana Gopico and Jamie Lavitoria fashioned their sexy swimwear together at a beautiful beach resort in Bacolod City.
Meanwhile, Jhoana Maraguinot visited the sensational Sunflower Maze in Pangasinan and traveled all the way to Zambales while Ponggay Gaston and her family enjoyed the fascinating island of Coron, Palawan.
Bea De Leon, on the other hand, flew back to Japan and posted a picture-perfect photo of her with the world-famous cherry blossoms.
After a grueling journey to the semifinals, these Lady Eagles, without a doubt, deserve such a break.
It, however, doesn’t mean that they were not preparing for an upcoming war with fourth seed Far Eastern University (FEU) in the Final Four this Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Still in shape
Although they had a well-deserved break, the Lady Eagles would immediately return to training to secure a spot in the Finals for sixth straight year.
Ateneo captain Jia Morado said even they were on a vacation, they are still keeping themselves grounded by following a training program formulated by Thai head coach Anusorn Bundit.
De Leon, for one, reiterated that they would prepare themselves for a strenuous training with Bundit in order to achieve their goal – redemption of the lost crown.
“Actually, that’s going to be tougher training for us having no classes. And it is going be a lot tougher because we know that he will maximize it.”
“Our goal is to return to the Finals. So, coming into the next game our mindset is hopefully, we could finish it.”
They’ve spent their break to the fullest.
It’s the refueling they badly need.
Now, it’s time to get back to work, to serious action, and win the crown.
