Sabina Altynbekova, gained fame after hitting the headlines for being kicked off her team for being 'too beautiful'. Afterward, she signed with Dentsu sports agency in 2015, becoming the first non-Japanese athlete to do so. She briefly played in Japan but returned to Kazakhstan due to illness. Despite her talent, she didn't make it to the Kazakh women’s international volleyball team in 2018. Currently, Altynbekova splits her time between Dubai and Almaty in Kazakhstan.
