After being showered with countless blessings, men’s National Team skipper John Vic De Guzman continues to give back by supporting the Autism Awareness Month.

Optum, in partnership with Autism Society Philippines, invited De Guzman to steer a charity event that aims to raise awareness about interacting to kids with autism Saturday in Taguig City.

Although the Laguna-native is having a full plate in preparing for the 29th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games this August, he still found quality time in meeting the kids and share love to them.

“Sobrang malapit talaga ako sa mga bata, kaya when we learned about this request, we made sure we attend and meet these kids.”

De Guzman stressed that he did such deed by heart to inspire the kids with disability.

With that heartwarming event, he had a chance to express the kid out of his beasting personality within the playing field through playing around with them as if they’re related to one another.

“Gusto ko lang po na through these outreach programs even outside the playing court I can continue to inspire a lot of people especially the kids.”

De Guzman showed the kids the kind treatment they all deserved despite their condition.

It’s his way to appreciate the gift of life – by displaying his big golden heart to the people who needed it the most.

“Kahit man lang sa simpleng activity I can inspire people especially the kids to be healthy and active, lalo na po yung mga kids with autism. They needed special attention and love.”

“These kids inspire me a lot to appreciate all the blessings in life more at makakatulong po ito lalo para magsumikap pa ako sa buhay.”

De Guzman eyes lit up upon seeing the impact he made after bringing joy to these challenged individuals.

More than being a good player with good looks, he also has a good heart.
