United Volleyball Club collected its third win in the PSL Grand Prix by edging the Generika Ayala Lifesavers in five thrilling sets 25-23, 17-25, 25-22, 23-25, 15-11.

UVC started off strong in the match but Generika-Ayala’s resiliency showed throughout the match with Bulacan native Ria Meneses leading the way.

But in the deciding set, UVC’s discipline and heart prevailed courtesy of import Yaasmeen Bedhart-Ghani and Filipino-Americans Kalei Mau and Alohi Robins-Hardy.

Bedhart-Ghani finished with 29 points from 21 attacks and eight kill blocks while Mau and Tai Manu-Olevao combined for 30 points. Robins-Hardy scored eight points to go with 29 excellent sets.

The Lifesavers, the only remaining team without a win at the PSL Grand Perix 2019, were led by both Patty Orendain and Karjana Kuthaisong with 16 points apiece. Kseniya Kocyigit added 15. Bia General had a commendable defensive game with 32 digs and 15 excellent receptions.
