The Foton Tornadoes Blue Energy will be reinforced by former Turkish National Team member Selime Ilyasoglu and American Courtney Felinski for the PSL Grand Prix 2019.

Ilyasoglu played for the Turkish National Squad in the 2011 European Championships and the 2012 FIVB Grand Prix, winning bronze medal in both tournaments. She also suited up for Galatasaray Daikin since 2011 before transferring to Thailand’s Idea Khonkaen in 2015. The 6’0″ Ilyasoglu played for CSM Volei Alba Blaj last year. Meanwhile, Felinski is a 6’1″ open spiker who played collegiate volleyball at the Georgia Institute of Technology. The Wichita Falls, Texas native had her first pro stint with Liiga Ploki in Finland wherein she was hailed MVP.
The 27-year-old American also had stints with Rote Raben Vilsbiburg in Germany, TS Volley Dudingen in Switzerland, and Club Voleibol JAV Olimpico in Las Palmas, Canary Islands. Have a glimpse of her game in this video.
The reinforcements will bolster a Foton Tornadoes squad that has Carmina Aganon, Shaya Adorador, Elaine Kasilag, CJ Rosario, and Carla Sandoval. Their addition will provide a tremendous boost to the wing attack and net defense of the Aaron Velez-coached squad.
