Foton team captain Dindin Manabat has to wait until her left knee stops swelling so she could undergo to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to assure that she didn’t suffer any serious injury.
On Thursday, Manabat was wheeled out of their match against neophyte Sta. Lucia in the 2017 Philippine Superliga (PSL) Invitational Conference after she buckled her left knee in the crucial stretch.
The medical team along with her husband Chico Manabat, and sister Jaja and Diane Santiago rushed her to the locker room.
Manabat failed to return.
The Tornadoes, however, still managed to complete an epic comeback over the Lady Realtors despite the absence of the prized middle blocker.
Philippine Superliga (PSL) official physician Dr. Raul Alcantara already cleared out Manabat from any major injury.
Alcantara said Manabat’s injury was due to a strained ligament on her left knee.
Manabat told Volleyverse Friday afternoon that she’s just waiting until the swelling on her left knee stops.
She will immediately undergo an MRI to assure that her injury wouldn’t get any serious at all.

In her Instagram account, the 6-foot-2 spiker thanked her colleagues and fans for praying for her recovery.
Manabat vowed to do everything for fast recovery.
That’s what she does best.
She never gives up without putting up a fight.
