Puerto Rico tops WOQT table and claims Olympic berth after three straight sets victories against Colombia, Kenya and Algeria.
Playing in front of the home court, Puerto Ricans were confident prior to the competition to fulfill their dream about first-ever Olympic berth. Puerto Rico is the only team, after USA, from NORCECA zone to participate in Rio 2016.
Colombia vs Algeria
Result: 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-18)
Colombia found it tough to step in on court on Sunday against Algeria with thread-thin chances for an Olympic berth. The team eventually defeated Africans in straight sets, finishing second in the competition.
Knowing that their chances were lost after their second defeat on Saturday, Algeria approached the match with clear purpose of getting more experience.

Puerto Rico vs Kenya
Result: 3-0 (25-8, 25-23, 25-15)
Puerto Rico needed only one set against Kenya to win an Olympic berth, but the team went all the way and topped its third straight set victory to crown the ticket to Rio 2016. This is a first-ever Olympic berth for Puerto Rico and coach Juan Carlos Nunez did not forget about his predecessors, who worked with team in previous years.
Now we have to act as Olympians. While I am at the coaching position I will continue pushing. Everybody have to sweat in there.
